Badgers Sett Holiday Cottage is the former Dairy
and Milking Parlour, so is all on one level.

You enter straight into a beautiful, large, airy room with high, vaulted ceiling and open beams. This is:

Lounge / Dining room

There is a stone and slate fireplace with an electric 'Wood-burning' effect fire and feature Natural Slate corner. This spacious room has 2 leather sofas, coffee table, additional side tables and lamps. A lovely Chiffonier dresser. The dining area to one side has a beautiful Mahogany table and 4 chairs. It has a 37" Plasma screen TV, with Freeview, and DVD player. 2 steps lead up from here up to the patio door. This leads outside to the private seating and barbecue area for this cottage, with table and seats. There are further steps, outside, leading up to the rest of the gardens.

There is a lovely old stained glass screen across this room, with the kitchen beyond it.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a dishwasher newly fitted, electric cooker, extractor fan, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and all the china, glassware, cutlery, oven and table ware you will need. A door leads off to a corridor and the rest of the cottage.

Bathroom

This has had a complete renovation, and now includes a Roll Top bath with Shower, toilet and wash basin. New, top quality fittings and beautifully tiled, a very pretty room.

Laundry

Back in the corridor is the former airing cupboard, now a Laundry room with Washing Machine and a separate Tumble Dryer. There is room in here for all the extras like Ironing Board, Vacuum Cleaner, cleaning items etc.

Bedroom 2

This is a charming room with twin Antique Walnut 3ft. single beds, bedside table and lamp, wall lights over, dressing table and wardrobe.

Bedroom 1

At the end of the corridor is the master bedroom, with King Size four poster bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps, large Mahogany wardrobe/drawers, a chest of drawers, a chair, wash hand basin and LCD TV with Freeview. This is good size room and there is space for a cot.

This holiday cottage is equipped with the following great features:

• Tasteful, matching soft furnishings, Antique and Country - style furniture.
• Beds for the number of people booked will be fully made up for your arrival. Also 2 tea towels and a bath mat are provided. Towel hire is available, so please fill in the Booking Form accordingly, to order.
• Plenty of books to read, DVDs to watch and games to play. Many homely touches: Plants, pictures and cushions.
• This holiday cottage has its own barbecue. Patio Table,Benches and Chairs.
• Cot and High Chair free of charge, but please bring all your baby's linen and towels.

NB. 1st October till mid May, are the only times when we accept short beaks, booked as far ahead as required.

The rest of the year (including Easter, Spring Bank, Christmas and New Year), bookings for short breaks will not be taken until 3 weeks before the required date, as preference is always given to weekly bookings and longer. Please check the availability charts in case of some exceptions, when there may be an occasional short break showing, which is then bookable.

Also please note that the full occupancy rate is applicable from April till October, up to 3 weeks before the required date, when we will then accept, for example, a couple-only in August, for £610.

Off Season Holidays: If you want a night or 2 longer than a 2/3 night break, the extra nights are £50 each night, for the cottage, not per person.

November 1st to March 31st heating is included. April 1st to October 31st, heating will be put on for you at a cost of £28 per week or £12 for a 2/3 night break, £16 for 4 nights, etc.

The tenant has to pay a small contribution towards the electricity costs, as these have risen dramatically. There are £1 electric meters in each cottage. They cost about £2 per day, depending on the size of your party, so bring approx. £10 for a week, for 2 of you, perhaps £25 for more people in a larger cottage. If we took a meter reading at the start and the end of your holiday, for you to pay us, it would be considerably more!
